Standing on the Truth
Someone I dearly love and trust has been dealing with a very difficult situation over the past year. One is which another party is making statements filled with accusations that are nothing but unacceptable and simply not true about her character. “How do you deal with that?” she is often asked by those who are a little less tolerant. She replies very simply with “I stand on the truth. I don’t have to defend myself against untruth because I know the truth and the truth is where I find peace”. A friend of hers recently told her “those who sling mud eventually loose ground”. This conjures up a quirky visual of someone so desperate to verbally damage another as they reach down to the mud pile under their feet and scoop up ball after ball of muck. Splat…hahaha, splat…hahaha…they think they are winning when really they are losing the very ground they are standing on. You see truth is not a mucky substance it is not watery, cloudy or hazy. Truth is solid as a rock, never changes it’s form and always remaining consistent and strong. Truth is all we need to stand on when being attacked by the mudslingers for truth never looses ground. It is solid, solid as a rock. Stand on it with pride and smile peacefully. RyLee
